Update from Josh - April 6th

After 14 blood transfusions, 13 hospital bed nights - 5 of those in ICU - 7 days of extreme nausea, scales tipping over 180 lbs, elephant feet, 6 days of oxygen, 4 sessions of dialysis, 4 enimas, one catheter sticking out of my neck like a finger, one bruised abdomen, one c section...we are going HOME.

So much to be grateful for. So must lost.

  1. I am so relieved and happy to hear! Each day I've been visiting here, anxious for the next post and each day hoping for positive news.
Although the road ahead is not entirely smooth, each step will move you forward and your friends and family will be there each step of the way supporting you and loving you.

  3. I am so thrilled to hear you are heading home. May peace be with you as you recover physically and grieve the loss of your angel. You don't know me, but I've been praying for you and your family. Wanted to put this out there for what it's worth. There are some ways to nurture your kidneys through the foods you eat. My mother is a holistic health practitioner and she was sharing with me about her recovery from kidney disease through nutrition. I'm not saying western/modern meds are bad. Hardly. But please let me know if you'd like the info she gave me. Warmly, Erin

  4. I too am a stranger learning of your tragedy through a friend of a friend. I am so pleased to know you are at home. From one mother to another, I can't even imagine your pain and loss but I understand the bond you have even before you can hold your baby in your arms. Nothing will replace it, no words will heal it, but the love for your daughter will live with you always. I hope that time will heal your heart, soul and body. Stella looks like the best medicine ;) All the best to you and your family.
